September Favourites

It's taken me until September, but I've finally come to terms with how fast this year is flying by. It feels like only yesterday that I was getting excited about summer, and now it's full on autumn; summer is well and truly gone! Beauty favourites for me this month have been primarily make up items as skincare as seemed completely useless at calming my confused skin which has been completely traumatised by the transition period and colder weather. It's gone utterly cray and I can't wait for it to get back to normal. Because my skin has been such a mess, I've been focusing more on makeup and trying to boost my confidence a little by getting creative with it, hence why there are mostly makeup favourites this month. With any luck next month will be the one where my skin decides to chill and I'll be able to let you know what products it reacted well with!

-Makeup Revolution Smoked Romantic Palette-

If you're subscribed to my Youtube channel (if not, subscribe here!) you'll have seen that I have been obsessed with the Makeup Revolution Smoked Romantic Palette. I bought it not too long ago and I've been using it so much, it's absolutely gorgeous. This is the first eye shadows I've tried from Makeup Revolution and I adore the formula; they are effortless to blend and although some are more pigmented than others, the majority of the colours are buildable which makes it easy to make up for a slight lack of pigmentation. This gorgeous little palette is only £4 and for all the amazing colours in it, that is such a steal. I especially love all the darker shades for making a dramatic eye look which is perfect for this time of year.

-T-Plus Herbal Tea*-

In the past week I've been in detox mode because, honestly, I have been eating crap. I lost a few pounds before I went to a wedding this month and then after the wedding I completely over indulged and put all the weight (and more) back on. I'm the heaviest I've been for a while and I'm struggling to get my eating habits back on track and I feel worse for it because I've been eating so much junk and I feel lousy because of it. One of the changes I've made to try and detoxify my body of all the nastiness I've been filling it with is drinking T-Plus' detox tea, which has been a great and easy way to replenish my body of vitamins and flush out all the toxins in me. Their Detox tea is apple and blackcurrant flavour and I remember the first time I tried one I couldn't get over the gorgeous smell and taste; they really make it easy to enjoy something that's so good for you.

-LA Splash Liquid Lipstick in Ghoulish-

I've been so, so excited about this liquid lipstick ever since discovering a UK stockist. When I ordered it I was a bit worried that it wouldn't live up to my massive expectations, but I've fallen so in love with this product. I don't want to talk too much about it as I am planning a full review very soon, so do keep your eyes peeled for that in the next week or so if you want swatches and a very detailed review of this absolute beauty.

-The Wet Brush-

A few weeks back I mentioned that I was obsessing over my hair. I still am. Why haven't I got long hair yet?! Anyways, in my desperation to learn all the secrets behind long hair I've been watching a multitude of Youtube videos of girls sharing advice and tips for growing hair out. A bit of advice that is repeated often is to try and avoid brushing your hair while it's wet, and this is something I always have, and think I always will struggle with. Even when I brush my hair before getting into the shower, it gets really knotted while I wash it so it's impossible for me not to brush it out while it's wet otherwise it will dry a matted mess. After hearing that The Wet Brush is specifically designed to be gentle on wet hair and minimize breakage, I decided to get myself one to try and make sure even if I couldn't completely stop brushing my wet hair that I was still attempting to do it less damage. I've been head over heels for this brush, it is so gentle on my hair and I can definitely tell because I have to clean my hairbrush of shedded hair a lot less often. I'd definitely recommend for anyone who is wanting to take care of their hair a bit better, plus it's super inexpensive which is always a positive.

-MAC Jest Eye Shadow-

Jest is a shade I hadn't ever heard of until the day I went into store and purchased it, and honeslty I don't know why this shade isn't more hyped about because it is beautiful. It is an absolutely stunning white shimmer shade with a pink tone to it and I absolutely believe that this is an eye shadow shade as everyone in the world should have because it's just so pretty but still so wearable. I adore MAC eyeshadows and although they are quite expensive, the quality of them is amazing, I haven't tried one yet that I wasn't impressed with. This shade will literally last you all day which is great because it's a perfect stand alone shadow if you just wanted to create a pretty everyday look, so you know this would last you the whole day and still look as gorgeous as when you first applied it. If you want to take a look at a swatch of this beauty, be sure to check out this post.

  3. I love my wet brush. It detangles my hair without breaking it. I've never seen it in paddle brush form (like in your picture). Where did you get yours??
