Top to Bottom: Da Bling, Jest and Pink Venus

I might of lost the plot this week and spent a ridiculous amount of money on beauty products. Like stupidly ridiculous. I will definitely be doing a huuugeee haul post for you soon, would you be interested in seeing a haul video on Youtube too? Leave me a comment letting me know if that's something you'd be interested in watching! Anyways, one of the items I bought which I'm most excited about is a MAC Pro Palette. I stepped into the MAC store that fateful day looking for some single shadows or maybe a palette with a few pink shades in as it's a shade range that I don't have a lot of high quality shadows in so I wanted to stuck up. The thought of starting a pro palette had literally never occurred to me so I kind of even surprised myself when the sales assistant asked if I wanted any help and "Yes, I'm looking to start a pro palette," came out of my mouth. It was sort of like word vomit, but good word vomit, because it makes so much sense to make one.

Right, so what shades did I get? As I was only really looking for a few pink hues I only bought three shades as I didn't want to fill up half of fifteen of the spaces with just pink- I wanted pink but not that much. I think any more than three would be a bit overkill. I didn't ponder too long about what shades I wanted, I let the sales assistant know what I was looking for and straight away she pulled out Jest which is just an absolutely stunning pearly pink/white frosted shade. It was love at first swatch, you know what I'm saying. I love my highlight in my eye looks and as Jest does have a pink undertone it's different to any other shades I have as the majority have a more champagne tone to them than pink. It is a very gorgeous, super pigmented colour and honestly I can see myself getting so much use out of it and it being a massively flexible shade for so many makeup looks.

As this wasn't entirely a pink pink shade I then chose the lustre finish light shade Pink Venus to make sure I at least had a plain pink colour in my palette, that's what I came into MAC for after all. I'm absolutely obsessed with MAC's  eye shadows, their textures are to literally to die for they are so smooth and the colours are so pigmented, I'm not overreacting when I say I've been impressed with every MAC eye shadow I've tried. Anyway, Pink Venus is a gorgeously wearable washed pink shade with a slight shimmer which I felt would be perfect for soft, feminine looks. Although I was going for pink shades with these additions to my palette, I wanted ones that were very wearable and nothing like crazy, acid bright that I would quite frankly never use.

The last shade that I bought is such a gorgeous, girly but still edgy shadow. It's the sort of shade that you could either incorporate into a look subtly or use to make a statement and I literally can't wait to create a statement look with it. Last but not least, I purchased Da Bling for my palette, and it is an absolutely stunning, borderline hot pink shade with a gold undertone. When I swatch this, it literally makes me swoon it is so pretty and very different to any other shadow I have. If you're looking to create some bold looks with your makeup but wouldn't necessarily go near an acid bright pink, this is definitely one to add to your collection.

So that is the short but sweet start to my pro palette, I literally only got it a few days ago so I'm so excited to get more wear out of these beauties!

Are there any shades you guys would recommend?
