Blush & Bronze With Makeup Revolution

I said I would do it and I did it. I finally got round to purchasing myself Makeup Revolution's All About Bronze Palette. There was another complete mare with Royal Mail but Makeup Revolution were so good with sorting it out for me as quickly as possible; very impressed with their customer service! I'd been super excited about getting this palette for a long, long time now so as you can imagine my anticipation and expectations were both high, especially as I'd loved their All About Pink Palette so much.

I'll start the run down of these two blush and bronze beauties by talking about the All About Pink Palette, as it's the one I got first. In each palette there are eight blusher shades; six matte and two with shimmer that can be used for highlight. The matte blusher shades come in a spectrum of pink tones, from a fairly pale pink right through to deep, hot pink. I love all the variations available in this palette as it makes it not only a great product for all skin tones but also a super versatile palette as you can create a number of different looks with all the shades available. The All About Pink palette only retails at £6, which makes it unbelievable value for money as that's only 75p per blush; so was definitely a bargain I couldn't resist snapping up for myself, hence why I didn't return it when I got sent it by mistake instead of the All About Bronze Palette. Despite the budget price, the quality of this palette definitely does not correlate. I found the quality the palette went above and beyond my expectations; I hold my hand up and admit I was very much surprised and excited by just how good the blushes are. This was the first thing apart from lipstick that I'd ever bought from Makeup Revolution, and I was so disappointed by their lipsticks that I really didn't have much optimism for this product but I was well and truly put in my place.

Each of the blushes are very highly pigmented; I found a little went a really long way, like seriously, so just be wary that you don't need a lot of product on your brush at all unless you're looking to recreate the makeup of Coco The Clown. This is an element that I found great of the palette as I sometimes find that budget powder products can take a little bit of force to get out the pan, especially the first time you use them so this was a nice surprise considering just how inexpensive this palette is! Although the matte blush shades being beautiful, there are probably about four of the six that I use a lot more than the others as I find they suit me more on a day to day basis, but I absolutely adore both of the two highlight shades and often find it difficult to chose between the two when it comes to picking a highlight! The shimmery highlights in the palette are both stunning, there is a silver (almost pale purple) highlight which I find is gorgeous as a toneless highlight and another that is slightly pink toned which warms the face up slightly while also giving a gorgeous glow. I get so torn when choosing a between the two but I find I reach more for the pink toned one during the day when I want a warm, soft shimmer and then the purple toned of an evening where I'm after something more defined.

Like the All About Pink Palette, Makeup Revolution's All About Bronze palette also has six matte bronze shades and two highlighting shades. I was so, so excited to finally get my hands on this as it felt like fate was trying to keep us apart and after all the anticipation I've not been let down meaning my feelings towards this palette are now just so strong; maybe it's true that absence makes the heart grow fonder. I'm definitely a bronze over blush girl, there's no doubting that. If I had to live without one over the other, there's no question about it that I would be keeping the All About Bronze palette. The variety of bronze shades not only means that this palette is suitable for any skin tone, but it also means that some of the shades can be used for contouring, so in a way this could double up as a contour kit. Like a contour kit, I like to use the palest shade as a highlight under my eyes and up my nose and also to set my concealer. I then use the medium bronze shades as bronze to warm up my face and then I sometimes use the deepest bronze as a contour. I do have another powder I reach for more as contouring which is a bit darker, but if I just want a natural, soft one for me this palette does that perfectly. I have medium toned skin so keep that in mind, anyone with that tone or lighter would be fine but if you're darker toned you may not want to rely on this for a contour!

The quality of the shades is equal to that of the All About Pink palette so I won't repeat myself too much; the quality is amazing for the price in the long and short of it! The highlights are again beautiful, I really can't get enough of bronze highlighters at the moment and these two are among my favourites. I definitely can't say that I prefer one over the other for a night out or during the day as I think they are both suitably fabulous for both, so it really depends on my mood and what I'm wearing when it comes to deciding. One of the shades is a more gold toned highlight and the other is more champagne, but they both give that gorgeous Desi Perkins glow and I don't know about you guys but she is like my idol so that ticks all the boxes in my opinion!

Considering my disappointment with the first Makeup Revolution products I tried, I've fallen head over heels in love with both of these palettes, they are honestly so versatile and what you're getting for your money is unbeatable. They are both beautiful and definitely blush and bronze must haves for any makeup kit.
