March Favourites

For some reason reflecting March feels like a bit of a difficult task! I'm struggling to remember anything really that significant that happened during March; I really feel like it's just flown by without anything really happening; it's just been uni, work, blogging, uni work blogging for the most part! Saying that, I have had quite a good few weeks just spending time with James and getting back into fitness, I also feel like March has actually been pretty kind to me beauty wise. My skin is finally starting to clear up a bit which has been getting me down for a good number of months, so that has been a well welcomed change!

My skin getting a bit clearer has been super exciting for me considering I had consistent acne for almost a year. Despite all the things I've tried, nothing ever made changes, until about a month ago. I started using Lush's Mask of Magnanimity around the same time as I started incorporating MyChelle Fruit Enzyme Cleanser into my routine, and my hand on heart believe that adding these two to my routine has made such a big difference to my skin problems. I won't talk too much about the MyChelle Fruit Enzyme Cleanser as I did a full review of it not too long ago, which you can read here. I have so much more to talk about so I won't waste words repeating myself!

As well as MyChelle being a brand that I've never tried before, Mask of Magnanimity is actually the first thing I've ever bought for myself from Lush; abnormal beauty blogger, I know! The mask has been a complete God send for me, it has seriously treated me so well. I use it twice a week without fail and ever since the first week of using it, it's calmed my skin and shrunk my spots. You can buy this mask in a self-preserving form but I decided to get myself the usual type that you keep in the fridge. To be honest I love having this version of the mask as when you put it on after it's been in the fridge it is so cool and tingly on your face, it feels absolutely gorgeous. The peppermint smell and tingly sensation combined makes it such a pampering experience whenever I use it, and the results are equally as amazing. As well as helping get rid of the spots I'd had for almost a year, if I have any more sprout up I simply pop this on and within a few days they will of gone down. When I first bought this I was skeptical about it having any effect on my skin at all because I'd heard so many bloggers praise it, I thought to myself it's probably just majorly over hyped, but it's honestly been a life saver for me; it gets rid of the spot quicker than I could ever ask... if you haven't gathered already I bloody am in love with this stuff and would recommend it to anyone who is struggling with their skin!

Moving away from skincare over to make-up, one of my favourite beauty bits recently has been eyebrows. Ever since having my HD Brows done, I literally can't get enough of brows! I recently bought myself Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade, and it has made such a difference to the look of my eyebrows, I seriously can't get enough of it! I put off buying it for ages, but I'm so glad I did now, I wish I'd done it sooner! I do have a full review here, so definitely give that a read if you're looking for a product that'll give you more defined brows effortlessly. On my brows I've also been using Pixi's Crayon Combo in Wide Awake which I like to use after Dipbrow just to give even more sharpness to my brows and also highlight my brow bone. The double ended, multipurpose pencil can be used for a variety of things such as brightening your under eyes, highlighting your brown bone and cupids brow and brightening the corners of your eyes. I love using the 'brighten' end to outline by eyebrows after using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade and make my brows appear neater and more defined. Once I've experimented a bit more with the other functions of this product I'll definitely be doing a full review but during March I've only been using it for the sole purpose of giving my eyebrows a little bit of extra oomph.

My last favourite for March has been Make-up Revolution's All About Pink Palette. I bought this completely by mistake, I was trying to order the All About Bronze Palette but for some reason on the Superdrug website when you click on the product page for All About Bronze Palette, the picture is of the All About Pink Palette and visa versa, and even though it said I had the All About Bronze Palette in my shopping cart and on the confirmation email, I received the All About Pink Palette. So, just a little heads up, there is definitely a confusion there and I could of returned it, but I actually really wanted to try it, so I kept it anyways!

I don't regret it in the slightest at all as it is such a gorgeous palette and I literally find myself using it every day; I can't imagine when I'll need to buy another blusher! When I first got introduced to Makeup Revolution, the first products by them I tried were their lipsticks, and honestly, I wasn't too impressed. That not so good first impression did put me off the brand for a bit, but recently I've been trying a few more of their products and I've been really happy with them and surprised with how much my opinion has changed. The All About Pink Palette has a gorgeous selection of six blush shades and two highlighting shades which are also pink based. I'd definitely would recommend this for any girl as I think the vast shades in the palette are great for any skin shade and are suitable for creating different looks when desired. I definitely hold my hands up and admit I was too quick to judge Makeup Revolution as a brand as this is a lovely little palette!

I'd love to hear what your March favourites have been, leave them in a comment below!

  3. I've always heard such good things about the Magnaminty Lush mask if I spelt that correctly so I'm glad it's helped you and your skin. The Face cleanser also sounds pretty amazing.

  10. You should of mentioned the mix up on the blush palette, it was their mistake and I'm sure they'd of sent you the new one out and allowed you to keep this particular palette as a good will gesture. x
