Favourite Four: Non Fiction Books

best non-fiction books

It gets to a point of an evening when the contact lenses have to come out, the dressing gown gets put on and the laptop gets put away; I'm way too tired to stare at my screen any more but not quite tired enough to roll into bed. This twilight zone is sometimes spent mindlessly browsing Instagram or playing Candy Crush, but sometimes I reach over to my book shelf and grab some reading material. I can appreciate a nice bit of fiction but I love to feel like I'm coming away from a book learning something new, so hands down, my favourite type of books to read are non-fiction ones. I've got a nice long Amazon wishlist of more to buy but here are my current favourite four to reach for once I'm cuddled up and cosy under a blanket at night.

-THE ONE HUNDRED BY NINA GARCIA-

A handy little book for any fashion lover looking to revamp their wardrobe. I always give this fabulous list of a hundred essentials a little read over when I'm making a wishlist or going on a shopping trip as it always gives me so much style inspiration. I also LOVE the illustrations in this book.

-THE BODY BOOK BY CAMERON DIAZ-

Definitely one for those who love learning about their body and the science behind taking care of it. Very word heavy but full of knowledge, I always feel more intelligent and inspired to treat my body like the temple it is after reading a chapter or two of this!

-BEAUTY BY LAUREN CONRAD-

Lauren Conrad is an absolute idol of mine. I've always loved her blog, it was part of the inspiration for starting my own, so of course I have one of her books! Beauty is a gorgeous guide to all things beauty related from skincare to hairstyles it covers it all.

-200 JUICES AND SMOOTHIES BY HAMLYN-

I've a few Hamlyn recipe books which are all amazing but this is one of my favourites. There are heaps and heaps of juices and smoothie recipes for all occasions and with both fruit and vegetable blends that are all super easy to make.
