Rimmel London Pink Blush

Rimmel London pink blush lipstick review swatch

Summer is slipping away and whilst I'm majorly excited to fall in love with AW lipstick shades all over again, in the last weeks of it being officially summer I've been getting the most out of my summer lipsticks while I still can. One of my summeriest lipsticks in my collection is Rimmel London's Pink Blush, and whilst it's obviously perfect for bright, sunny summer days, I can see this being a colour that I will occasionally sport in winter as well to mix my make-up up a bit.

I've ranted and raved about how much I love Rimmel lipsticks probably a million times already, so I won't bore you with a repeat of that old song. In summary, I have quite dry lips and the majority of Rimmel London's lipsticks provide just the right amount of moisture for them, while still giving an absolutely gorgeous colour for an amazing price; That's basically a long story short!

Rimmel London pink blush lipstick review

I adore this lipstick -there's no denying it's absolutely stunning- but it doesn't live up to one element that all my other Rimmel lipsticks do quite as much. For some reason- and this is the only Rimmel lippy I have that does this- this lipstick leaves my lips a little dry. It's easily remedied, I just have to slather my lips in Vaseline before applying, but it doesn't make it the best all year round lipstick in the world as during the winter my lips get chapped and dryer quicker. It's such a disappointment because soft lips is so important, but fortunately it is the only disappointment.

Apart from that one fluke, Pink Blush doesn't let Rimmel's reputation down. It still ticks all my other boxes, providing me with a gorgeous colour and long wear. The shade is a fabulous icy pink, which of course is ideal for summer but can be worn in the frosty winter too for a change from deep AW hues, just be sure to be armed with your Vaseline tin!
