Bare Minerals Mineral Veil

The other day when I was applying my make-up, I was coming to the end of my routine when I suddenly realized I've never blogged about one of my make-up bag essentials; Bare Minerals' Mineral Veil. I'm a massive fan of Bare Minerals, I can only think of one product of their's that I didn't get on with; it was a sticky lipgloss, one of my pet hates! Aside from that, Bare Minerals has never failed to impressed me, especially their make-up for the face, I really feel like it's giving my skin a treat. There's nothing worse than being at the end of the day and your foundation feeling like a new greasy layer of your face that you just can't wait to cleanse off. One of their products that I have a long term love for is their Mineral Veil, which is a setting powder post make-up application.

I'm one of those people that hates reapplying or touching up their make-up throughout the day. Don't get me wrong, I will if I have to, but there's nothing I hate more than trying to quickly touch up my make-up on the train, in the little girls' room or sneakily in class. To be honest with you I find it embarrassing and I have a lot of powder based make-up which goes everywhere. This in mind, make-up that promises long wear really appeals to me and a product that promises to set my make-up in place is even better.

Mineral Veil is a translucent powder that I honestly couldn't go a day without. Bold statement, but it's true! I'm an oily skinned girl and my skin gets oily quite quickly, so I really do need something decent to help keep my shine at bay and my make-up put, which is where Mineral Veil is the perfect product. At times when I've dared to go without it, I've really noticed the difference. My t-zone would get oilier a lot quicker and my make-up wouldn't keep it's 'just applied' look, which is when my make-up is feeling and looking its best. Even a light coverage of this makes a noticeable difference and my make-up is left feeling and looking matte for longer, without any added cakiness due to the fact the powder is translucent. I'm all for translucent powders as colour matching is not a hassle, plus if any loose powder gets on your clothes whilst applying it's not a problem as it finishes invisible.

Throughout summer I went face make-up free most days because my skin was very blemish prone, but even on the days that I didn't wear foundation I applied a touch of Mineral Veil to tone down my shine and to slightly neutralize any obvious redness my face had. This is a factor of Mineral Veil that I adore so much as it works not only as a setting powder, but also a shine reducer and mattifyer on my bare skin. This means on the days I do want to go make-up free on my face I don't have to worry about my oily skin looking disgusting as it keeps that in check.

I absolutely love this weightless, translucent setting powder as so far it's not let me down. Mineral Veil is another beauty from Bare Minerals than I have fallen for and this will be a staple product in my make-up collection for a long, long time.
