Summer's Red Lippy Substitute

Even though I adore red lipstick as much as the next girl, during the hotter seasons I tend to steer a little bit away from the classic deep red and dig out the brighter colours in my collection. A lipstick that I've found I've been picking up lots of an evening lately is Rimmel London's Moisture Renew Glam Plum Fulham (does anyone understand the name, I sure as hell don't!?) and it's become my red lipstick substitute this summer.

On a night out, I love my lips to be darker than usual but during the summer I prefer to add a bit of colour to my usual make-up, which is where this plum shade is a perfect step in. Lighter than the signature red lipstick, but still with red undertones this sultry plum lipstick is a gorgeous alternative for a red during this season I'm all about pinks, purples and oranges rather than winter red, browns and nudes.

Aside from my admiration and adoration for the colour, I have a massive admiration for the Moisture Renew range as a whole. My lips get quite dry so moisture on my lips is very important to me and I have found this Rimmel London range fabulous for keeping my lips as hydrated as they need to be without losing the length of wear and colour quality of the lipstick. I would definitely recommend the Moisture Renew collection for anyone else who finds usual lipsticks a smudge too drying on their lips!
