Festival Eyes: Part Two

Ideal For: Wireless, V-Festival, LoveBox

Whilst eye make-up is a great opportunity to get creative over festival season, some of my favourite eye make-up looks beautifully showcase the statement that less is more. This next festival eyes look is all about minimal make-up to really extenuate your eyes' natural beauty.

When applying eye shadow, I normally would only fill my socket, and then use a highlighter on the higher areas of my eye, otherwise I find that this can make my eyes appear deeper in my head than they actually are. Gorgeous light, delicate colours are the exception to this rule of mine and for this look I used a rose gold shadow all over my lids all the way up to my brown bone to highlight my whole eye area and to make my eyes appear big, bright and beautiful. This is ideal for festivals as when you draw towards the end of the day or weekend you may be feeling a bit worse for wear, but you sure as hell don't want to look it, so this simple technique keeps your eyes bright and awake!

This summer the rose gold shade is a perfect choice as it combines some of my favourite SS14 trends: metallics and pastels. However, you can be flexible with this colour as long as it is light, you don't want too much of a heavy colour to weigh your eyes down. To finish literally dust some charcoal eyeliner over your tops lids to give a tiny bit of definition to your eyes. However, be sure not to put your eyeliner all the way to the center corner of your eyes otherwise it'll close up your eyes and make them look smaller, and you really just want to maintain that big eye look.

A massive upside for this look is that it requires minimal effort on your part but is still a gorgeous look. To me that is what festival eyes are all about, you really want a make-up look which is convenient and easy but still looks stunning.

Wishes,
xXx
