L'Oreal's Skin Perfection Cleansing Oil

There is nothing that gets me more excited than buying a product and adoring it straight away, especially when I've had doubts after purchasing it. I've been searching for an alternative to use instead of make-up wipes for a while now, and when I saw L'Oreal's Skin Perfection Cleansing Oil was on offer at Superdrug I couldn't resist picking it up. On my way home though, doubts started popping into my mind; my main concern was that I have blemish prone, oily skin and I didn't want this to worsen it. In my mind, oily skin + concealing oil = a whole lot of oil...makes sense right? My doubts literally melted away the first night I used this oil, I couldn't - and still can't! - believe how quickly I've fallen in love with this product.

I'll start with talking about the make-up removal aspect of this cleansing oil, as that's the reason I bought it in the first place. In the past few weeks I've read a number of articles stating that make-up wipes aren't the best method for removing your cosmetics at the end of the day. According to these articles, they don't efficiently remove the make-up and leave grime in your pores, which I definitely agree with as after using my make-up wipes and then moving on to my face wash, make-up still comes off on my flannel. Using this cleansing oil in place of make-up wipes is a dream. It does exactly what it promises and dissolves my make-up off completely (including eye make-up), whilst also giving my skin an extra clean feeling that I've never had before with just wipes.

Moving away from make-up removal, since I've used this cleansing oil I've noticed a great change in the texture and appearance of my skin. My skin feels the softest it ever has, and that's directly after use and throughout the day, it now has a gorgeous velvet texture and I want to ! I absolutely adored L'Oreal's Skin Perfection Serum, mine ran out a while ago and I never got around to replacing it and I've found this cleansing oil reduces the redness of my skin in the same way this serum does which I am so happy about. And the best thing? My skin is no more oily than before, if anything it feels more matte than ever! The oil claims to control your skins natural oil distribution, and I feel like this product has done this so nicely for me.

For me this product has had some many benefits from literally the day I started using it, I'm so pleased! You only really need a few drops every use too, so after paying only a few pounds for it I am pleasantly surprised and excited to have found a product that makes my skin feel so great.

Lots of love,
xXx

  1. Thank you for this review. I've seen this product featured on a few blogs recently and been concerned about the oil too, as my skin can get quite oily too, but after reading your review I'm keen to give this a try! I'm always for a product that makes removing makeup easy, yet giving your skin a good cleanse and ultimately leaving it looking clear and feeling soft, Great post!

  5. Thanks for sending me your blog link!

I haven't used any oil based products yet but I think I'm sold now. I don't think I could ever use a make up wipe again after using Micellar solution and gel cleasners!
