August's Glossybox Favourites

I was so thrilled when I saw the contents of this month's Glossybox, there was such a great selection of items that I could not wait to try. In the box this month, there is a Make Up Remover Pen by Óceane, a Viva La Juicy Juicy Couture Noir fragrance sample, Emite Make Up eyelash curlers, Jelly Pong Pong 2-in-1 eyeliner and eyeshadow and Tresemmé Platinum Strength 60 Second Treatment Shot.

I adore fragrances and I love trying new ones, so as soon as I opened the box I tried the Viva La Juicy Noir straight away. One of my friends always wears the standard Viva La Juicy, and I'm not a massive fan of it if I'm honest, but I was pleasantly surprised by the Noir version. Although I can still smell the original Viva La Juicy smell, it's somehow different (I think maybe berry scents) and better! Noir is slightly less sickly sweet smelling than the original Viva La Juicy, which I think is a great improvement and I actually really like this as an evening fragrance.

I was very excited to try Óceane's Make Up Remover Pen, as I always waste my make up wipes tidying up my make up after applying. The pen works a treat and removes most excess make-up easily and very neatly. My only complaint with the pen is that if you are using it to fix up a thick bit of eyeliner it can smudge slightly so I would take your time with it if you're using it on thick eyeliner.

I also am really fond of Jelly Pong Pong's eyeliner/eyeshadow in the Glossybox this month. It is a thick pencil which I find easier to use than thin eyeliner pencil as it is less likely to break if you put pressure on it when applying. In addition to this, the eyeliner itself is soft which also makes application easier. The pencil works really beautifully as an eyeliner: it applies easily, neatly and lasts long. As an eyeshadow, it is also an alright product, but I prefer to stick with powder eyeshadow. I find it blends too much into the eyeliner so it just appears like a thicker line of eyeliner rather than a separate layer of eyeshadow.
